Jeremy Balfour, Scottish Conservative MSP for the Lothian Region has raised a motion at the Scottish Parliament today, congratulating Midlothian based Youth Group Y2K on securing £10,000 of Big Lottery Funding. Y2K are a dedicated youth project, supporting local, young people aged 11 to 18 years’ old with initiatives such as their Y2k+ support service, Healthy Living workshops and Growing Gardeners scheme.

“I was delighted to hear that Y2K have been recognised by the Big Lottery Fund as an important youth organisation based in Dalkeith, as they provide a variety of projects and opportunities for young people to socialise and get the help and support they need in a safe environment. I hope this funding allows them to continue to deliver their activities and workshops within Midlothian.”
