Jeremy Balfour, Conservative and Unionist MSP for Lothian, launched a motion supporting the third annual Communities Day due to held in Musselburgh on 21st September.
This is the third year that the Musselburgh Area Partnership has organised a Communities Day which brings together all organisations, groups and associations that support the Musselburgh community.
There will be an opportunity for local residents to have a say on the Area Partnership plan to make the community better.
The event is aimed at all residents of Musselburgh and will include free refreshments, live entertainment, face painting and balloon modelling.
Jeremy Balfour MSP has said:
“The Communities Day is a fantastic initiative run by the Musselburgh Area Partnership.
“It is encouraging to see the community come together to celebrate the good work that is done by over 50 groups, organisations and associations.
“Such groups greatly enhance the lives of people in the community and of the lives of the volunteers themselves who can take pride in the work that they do to give back to the community.
“This is a great opportunity for the people of Musselburgh to have a fun day out, to find out more about what’s going on in their area and to think about ways they can get involved.”
